Perez Hilton is at it again. For those of you who are unaware who this diva of media is, he is first and foremost the voice of celebrity gossip and news. Bursting into the blogworld in 2004 he hasn’t quit, adding infamous “One Night In..” parties to his repertoire, one of those cities being Austin, Texas. Yes, Perez began bringing his parties to Austin to celebrate the cities SXSW festival as well as prides itself as brining cutting edge musicians to showcase during his parties. The events have always been 21+ but this year, something a little different will be going on. Everyone has a fair shot at getting into his party! This year marks Perez’s 5th party, and it will benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.
Perez wanted to change things up this year first by posting the statement “We want real music lovers and just music lovers this year”, why Perez thinks anyone attending SXSW is not a music lover baffles us however what Perez wants, Perez gets. Another thing that will be different about this year is that it is an official SXSW showcase.
Tickers can be purchased here, to guarantee entry into the party. And with general tickets being $25 and VIP only being $50, all ticket proceeds (100%) will however be going towards the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, so at least you know your money is going to a good cause. There will still be free booze and a great lineup you probably won’t want to miss.
